This is the building site today. The builders have dug out by hand 6m holes for piles to go down, through the landfill we have added, down into the silt and mud below. You can see the piles of grey silt beside each of the holes and the wires of the piles sticking up.
The wooden boards represent the eventual height of the floor.
Just the ends of the piles showing now through the concrete. Here are the guys making up the steel re-enforcements for the piles.
